Sometimes the alsmixer settings get corrupted, so I take a note of the "good" settings:

• Sidetone: 100
• Mic Boost: Off
• Playback: (Off) 81
• Playback De-mphasis: None
• Capture Mic: On
• ADC High Pass Filter: On
• Input Mux: Line In
• Jack Function: Off
• Output Mixer HiFi Playback Switch: On
• Output Mixer Line Bypass: On
• Output Mixer Mic Sidetone Switch: Off
• Speaker Function: On
• Store DC Offset: Off
